"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"

                                     Chapter 25

[The villain is so sad, why doesn’t the female supporting role go up to comfort him?]

Shi Ning glanced at the barrage, then at Qin Heye, whose back was rapidly disappearing as he strode away. He moved so fast it was as if a beast was hot on his heels. Comfort him? No way! She still wanted to hear the so-called villain Qin Heye cry like a kettle.

Shi Ning looked up at Aunt Zhang, exasperated.[Read More Here] "Does my face have 'divorce' written all over it?"

Aunt Zhang, startled, took a moment to realize Shi Ning was addressing her. Fearing dismissal, she stammered, "No?"

Shi Ning pouted. "Then why does Qin Heye have such an expression, like his wife is about to run away!"

Aunt Zhang mumbled under her breath, "It's because you've been arguing about divorce for three years, and you always let Shen Xizhou come and reserve a room for him."

Shi Ning heard it all. She was speechless. What kind of brain-dead author created such a stupid and wicked character for her? Qin Heye was   hundred times better than Shen Xizhou! In terms of money, power, looks, physique, and character, he surpassed Shen Xizhou in every way! Why would she not love such a high-quality man, but instead pine after Shen Xizhou, the scumbag? And leaving a room for Shen Xizhou in her husband's house? This was more outrageous than those rebirth novels where heroines let girlfriends and sisters seduce their husbands! And the key was, Qin Heye actually agreed to it! Did he expect the three of them to live happily ever after? It was truly unbelievable!

Unable to contain her frustration, Shi Ning declared, "Go and clean up Shen Xizhou's room. Throw away everything in it."

Aunt Zhang looked surprised for a moment, then understood. "Yes," she responded with a new energy in her voice.

The other servants began clearing the dining table. Shi Ning glanced at the barrage, which was now filled with comments about Qin Heye being in his study, silently crying while working to earn money for his wife. She doubted the veracity of these claims; Qin Heye couldn't possibly be a crybaby!

Shi Ning called Qin Heye. He answered instantly.

"Is there something?" Qin Heye's low, hoarse voice reached her ears.

"I'm going back to my room."

"So?"

Shi Ning, attempting a coy tone, pleaded, "My feet hurt. I want you to come down and  carry  me there~"

"I'm in a meeting," he replied, his voice flat. "Let the servant push you up in a wheelchair."

"Oh."

"..."

Qin Heye, assuming Shi Ning had hung up, tapped his phone on the table.

Shi Ning, however, hadn't hung up. They were still connected. She could hear the rustle of documents and Qin Heye's occasional remarks, all pertaining to work. It must be a continuation of his afternoon meeting. Shi Ning listened for two minutes, still not hanging up. Then a thought struck her. In the past three years, whenever she called Qin Heye, he would answer immediately. But whenever he called her, she'd hang up instantly, and if he called more than once, she'd block him! Moreover, she always ended their calls first.

Shi Ning looked at the call interface on her phone; two minutes had already passed. Her eyebrows rose. "Could it be that if I don't hang up first, Qin Heye won't either?"[Read More Here] To test her theory, Shi Ning didn't end the call. Instead, she switched to the background, opened her synthesis game, and continued playing.

Half an hour later, her game energy was depleted, but the call remained active. Bored with the synthesis game, she switched to Candy Crush and watched some short videos. Her phone battery began to drain, so she asked a servant for a power bank and continued her phone activities.

The servants eventually went off duty. Shi Ning, feeling restless, finally put down her phone and looked at the call interface. The call duration displayed: 150 minutes.

"It's been so long, why haven't you hung up yet?" she wondered aloud. "Is Qin Heye secretly crying, like a steam kettle?"

Shi Ning switched to speakerphone. Qin Heye's low, rich, cold, yet pleasant voice filled the air. "When the core technology is bottlenecked, hire experts in this area at a high price, instead of saying that it's okay to be almost there..."

Through the phone, Shi Ning could feel the solemn, almost oppressive atmosphere of the meeting. She even imagined the person on the other side of the computer screen, wilting under his aura, breaking out in a cold sweat. Qin Heye must look incredibly handsome when he's serious about work, right?

Lost in thought, Shi Ning was startled by Qin Heye's sudden, cold, and surprised voice. "You haven't hung up yet?" He had just gotten angry and was about to check his phone when he realized Shi Ning was still on the line! This was unprecedented. Usually, she'd hang up in less than a minute after giving him an order.

"Yeah," Shi Ning replied simply.

Qin Heye glanced at his computer screen. All the executives stared at him, surprised that he'd answered a personal call before the meeting concluded. He gave them a chilling look, and they quickly averted their gaze, focusing intently on documents and notes. He briefly questioned Shi Ning, "Is there anything else?"

Shi Ning looked down at her feet. "Yes, and no."

Qin Heye frowned. "Just tell me the matter."

His voice was cold again, and Shi Ning's anger reignited. She snorted. "Nothing!" And with that, she abruptly ended the call.

Qin Heye stared at the "call ended" screen, a familiar exasperation settling over him. This was just Shi Ning, with her usual terrible temper.

Shi Ning, however, was genuinely furious with Qin Heye. "If you can't talk properly, I'll block you!" And in a fit of pique, she blocked Qin Heye's number.

[Shi Ning is so confused, she got angry and blocked the villain?]

[The villain held an important meeting, didn't guard against her, didn't hang up the phone, but she got angry, it's enough!]

[Poor villain, his heart is broken by the female supporting role, and he has to mend it himself, and then he comes to comfort the female supporting role.]

[Just now, how sweet the villain said to the executives, "My wife is angry, I'm going to comfort my wife."[Read More Here] Now I feel so sorry for the villain.]

[Shi Ning, the vicious female supporting role, is just relying on the villain's favor, and she is fearless. Can't she comfort the villain? She is broken into pieces by the hero.]

Reading the barrage, Shi Ning pouted. "I know Qin Heye is sad, but I don't want to coax him at all!" she huffed. "He's been secretly in love with me for ten years, but he didn't say a word and spoke to me coldly." The more she spoke, the angrier she became. Shi Ning scoffed, "Bullshit! He's not as good as Shen Xizhou. At least when Shen Xizhou wanted to use me, he knew to coax me with sweet words!"

"Divorce Qin Heye regardless of everything, I don't believe it..."

Just then, a cold, low cry, edged with what sounded like suppressed rage, echoed from the spiral staircase. "Shi Ning!"

Shi Ning's mind froze.

The barrage immediately erupted in excited comments:

[Yo yo yo, the big villain has heard it, the attic is about to be opened, the gold chain is used, and then the negative distance of -19cm is contacted!]

[The female supporting role is so cheap, knowing that Shen Xizhou is using her, he coaxed her, and she was actually very happy to be used .]

[Qin Heye looks so scary, exuding the aura of his impending blackening. Shi Ning can't run away now, his legs are about to be broken, and he will be broken into a permanent M.]
