"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"
Chapter 4
He hadn't even finished speaking when a flash of movement caught his eye. Suddenly, a small figure was in Qin Heye's arms, stepping onto his feet and pressing her lips against his.
Qin Heye froze, utterly rigid, not daring to move, not daring to blink. His pupils trembled, yet his face remained cold as he stared at Shi Ning, who was kissing him with fierce intent.
Shi Ning closed her eyes, pouring all her focus into the forceful kiss.
Shen Xizhou, dumbfounded, looked at the scene as if he'd been struck by lightning. "Xiao Ning, you..." His words died in the stunned silence.
The charged atmosphere shattered. Qin Heye, his face still a mask of ice, pushed Shi Ning away gently. "Enough," he said, his voice deep and controlled. "I won't disturb you any more ."
Shi Ning grabbed his arm, then shot a defiant glare at Shen Xizhou. "Are you still not leaving? Do you want to stay and see how much I like Qin Heye?" She deliberately emphasized the word "like," letting it hang in the air, laden with suggestive meaning.[Read More Here]
Shen Xizhou looked from Shi Ning to Qin Heye, whose face remained frigid, seemingly poised to commit murder. He offered a gentle, almost strained smile. "If you have something to do, call me." With a polite nod to Qin Heye, he murmured a farewell and turned to leave.
Qin Heye watched Shen Xizhou disappear through the downstairs door. Then, his gaze lingered on Shi Ning for a long moment before he, too, turned and walked away.
Shi Ning, noting his indifferent attitude, didn't bother to pay him any more mind. The immediate danger was over. As long as she didn't revert to being Shen Xizhou's "licking dog" or harbor jealousy towards Shi Qingyin, her tragic end seemed averted. She wouldn't be imprisoned by Qin Heye, and she could remain a wealthy woman, enjoying her peaceful life.
Shi Ning headed downstairs, sinking into the plush leather sofa in the living room. She indulged in exquisite strawberry cake and sipped on milk tea crafted by a five-star chef. A servant skillfully massaged her tired shoulders, while another tended to her weary legs. She simply relaxed, happily engrossed in cartoons.
Time slipped by. Then, steady footsteps echoed from upstairs. The previously quiet barrage suddenly became a flurry of activity.
*[The big villain is upstairs, and he is about to break into heroic fragments. Why is the female supporting role still watching cartoons leisurely? Go and coax the heartbroken little puppy.]
*[Does the love-brained villain still need Shi Ning to coax him? After half an hour in the study, he coaxed himself before Shi Ning came to explain.]
*[I am an SVIP, I saw the plot in the study. Qin Heye took the shirt that was torn by Shi Ning last night, imagined the scene of being raped last night, imagined how much Shi Ning loved him, and then he coaxed himself.]
Shi Ning's eyes widened. "???"
She turned, confused, to see Qin Heye descending the spiral staircase, his face still cold and unreadable. Dressed in a black windbreaker, he appeared strikingly tall and imposing, his expression as unyielding as frost.
He noticed her gaze and his eyes narrowed slightly, like a high and mighty emperor granting a charitable glance. His entire aura was as cold and detached as an iceberg, completely unfeminine. Shi Ning saw no hint of a man in love in him , nor any sign of him fantasizing about her affection.[Read More Here]
So she called out with a hint of bewilderment in her voice. "Qin Heye."
He faltered, a slight stumble, but then steadied himself on the last step. He pursed his thin lips, his gaze still calm and steady as he looked at Shi Ning. "Is there something?"
*[Oh my god, the villain is so pretentious! He was just kissed by Shi Ning by calling his name.]
*[Now when he hears Shi Ning calling his name, he purses his lips reflexively, just wanting to be kissed by force, but he pretends to be like an employee.]
*[What a pretentious man! He deserves to be a villain, and he will never get the love of the female supporting role! Let him get angry, but he won't talk.]
Shi Ning observed Qin Heye, searching for any sign of the anger the barrage described. But all she saw was indifference and aloofness. "Are you angry?" she asked.
"No," he replied.
Shi Ning, seeing the barrage's comments scolding Qin Heye for being fake, raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
Qin Heye walked closer, stopping directly in front of her. He lowered his head, looking down at her calmly. "Why should I be angry?"
Shi Ning truly didn't understand why the barrage insisted he was angry. She hadn't eloped with Shen Xizhou, hadn't called the police, and had even kissed him forcefully.
Qin Heye slipped his hands into his pockets, his expression even more indifferent and composed.[Read More Here]
"We agreed that we would play our own games after marriage and not interfere with each other's lives, otherwise we would divorce, so..." He paused, then continued, his voice utterly calm, "Why should I be angry?"
Shi Ning looked away from him, returning her attention to the mesmerizing cartoons. "Oh," she simply said, completely unfazed.
The barrage, however, erupted in a frenzy.
*[How could Qin Heye dare to be angry? It was Shi Ning who proposed the pre-marital agreement that they would play their own games after marriage. If she was stopped from liking Shen Xizhou, she would not only divorce, but also die.]
*[Qin Heye was controlled by her and didn't dare to get angry at all. He could only pretend that he didn't care.]
*[In fact, every time Shi Ning called Shen Xizhou and went out to see Shen Xizhou, Qin Heye would cover himself with the quilt at night and cry like a kettle.]
Shi Ning's head snapped up, her eyes wide with a mix of surprise and horror as she stared at the cold-faced Qin Heye. "???"
Crying like a kettle? Could it be true? A mischievous thought sparked in her mind: she really wanted to see him cry, to see if it was truly like a boiling kettle!
