"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"
Chapter 23
Seeing the comments descend further into depravity, Shi Ning's fear surged. She quickly put a stop to her playful provocations. All thoughts of rebellion vanished; she simply wanted to coexist with Qin Heye normally. Nothing—no love, no money—was more precious than her freedom.
Shi Ning looked up at Qin Heye, quickly concocting an excuse. "I didn't just come here to explain to you. I'm also hungry."
Qin Heye's brow furrowed. "Hungry?" he questioned, his gaze fixed on her.
Shi Ning nodded vigorously. "Yeah, very hungry."
Qin Heye's expression conveyed a faint bewilderment. "If you're hungry, go downstairs to find Aunt Zhang. Dinner should be prepared in the kitchen." His cold face seemed to ask, You're hungry, so why are you looking at me?
A flicker of anger ignited in Shi Ning. "I want to eat the noodles you cooked!" she declared, her voice laced with an exaggerated petulance. "Can I trouble the distinguished President to cook me a bowl of noodles?" Having delivered her demand, she turned and limped away, simmering with indignation.
Qin Heye paused, momentarily stunned.[Read More Here]
Then, with a swift stride, he scooped Shi Ning up sideways into his arms. "Talk nicely," he chided, his voice firm but not unkind. "Don't be sarcastic. Your foot isn't healed; don't walk around by yourself." Going upstairs was easy, but descending with a sprained ankle was another matter entirely.
Shi Ning symbolically struggled twice in his arms, huffing angrily. "You also don't talk nicely! and have a bad face all day, as if I owe you hundreds of millions of dollars!"
Qin Heye looked down at Shi Ning. Her lips were pursed, her cheeks puffed out with anger, making her resemble a tiny, irate goldfish. It was a charming, unexpectedly cute side of Shi Ning he'd never witnessed before. The corners of Qin Heye's lips quirked upwards, a fleeting, almost imperceptible smile, before quickly smoothing back into his usual stern expression. "Hmm."
Shi Ning blinked. "???" What did he mean by "Hmm"? Did she really owe him money?
[Not only owe a few hundred million, that's owed tens of billions, tens of billions! It can't be paid off.]
Shi Ning's confusion deepened. "???" How could she owe Qin Heye so much money? Had she incurred this debt in a past life?
[The vicious female supporting role has a cute face, so cute, so cute when angry, with a chubby face, I really want to pinch and kiss it.]
[How can she be so cute! What on earth is going on in this pretty face that makes her look so silly and cute!]
[She must be thinking about the villain saying that she owes him hundreds of millions, but she is thinking that she doesn't owe him a penny!]
[We are already on the highway, but the vicious female supporting role is still in Macabaka. Does she owe money? She owes her life!]
[The life of wasted descendants is also life, that's right, hahaha, the vicious female supporting role in Macabaka is so cute.]
Shi Ning, nestled securely in Qin Heye's arms, gazed at the lines of the barrage. After a moment, a slow dawning of understanding illuminated her mind regarding the comments. Her face flushed furiously, and she buried herself in Qin Heye's chest, determined to ignore the barrage that seemed intent on corrupting her.
Qin Heye carried Shi Ning down to the dining room and gently seated her. He then looked at her injured foot and spoke with solemnity. "Sit here and don't move. If you need anything, ask the servant to get it."
Shi Ning was genuinely hungry, and her foot throbbed. She nodded obediently. "Okay ."
Qin Heye rarely saw her so compliant, and his mood visibly softened. His voice, too, became unusually gentle. " You just want to eat noodles?"
Shi Ning widened her eyes in surprise at his change in tone. "Yeah." as she answered a thought wandered in her brain His voice could be so gentle? Not cold, like ice? She'd thought his mouth was permanently frozen at minus 30 degrees.
"What kind of noodles do you want to eat?" Qin Heye asked.
Shi Ning hadn't thought that far ahead; she'd merely made a casual demand. As she pondered, the barrage once again shimmered into view.
[Of course it's the following.]

Shi Ning, now accustomed to the "yellow and glowing" comments, simply ignored it. She looked up at Qin Heye, offering him a sweet, captivating smile. "Any noodles are fine, as long as you cook them, I'll like it." He had secretly loved her for ten years, after all. She needed to throw him some "sweet dates" to prevent future "imprisonment by love."
Hearing her words, Qin Heye stiffened for a moment. Then, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise in an uncharacteristic, broad smile. "Okay, wait for me." He turned and strode quickly towards the kitchen.
[Shi Ning smiled a little, and the villain smiled like a Nike sign! Isn't this too easy to caox?]
[It's said that the villain is love-brained. Shi Ning doesn't need to say anything or do anything. Just give him a look and he will automatically degrade to -520 IQ and become her most loyal dog.]
