"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"

                                    Chapter 10

Lin Han, ever the diligent assistant, relayed the events happened in the car to  his boss, Qin Heye.
[ Lin Han: The young lady said to  Miss Shi  that you are her husband. ]

[Lin Han: The young lady also said to  Miss Shi  that they don’t like Shen Xizhou anymore. ]

[Lin Han: The young lady also add  that they will not divorce you because you are good in bed! ]

Qin Heye's reaction was immediate and dramatic to these berrage of messages from his assisatant. As he read the three successive messages, his typically icy demeanor began to thaw. His face, usually a study in impassivity, first flushed a delicate pink, then deepened to a fiery red that seemed almost to emit steam.

Pei Qianhuo, observing from the sidelines, watched Qin Heye's transformation with a mixture of amusement and concern. "President, are you okay?" he ventured, half-joking, half-wondering if the young lady's words had somehow caused his boss to spontaneously combust.[Read More Here] "Could it be that the young lady was so angry that she was smoking? Is she so careless?"

Qin Heye, seemingly oblivious to Pei Qianhuo's musings, reread the messages. Then, with a decisive movement, he snatched up his coat. "Iam off work!" he barked, his voice still tinged with an unfamiliar warmth.

Pei Qianhuo watched him go as  a wide, almost comical grin spreading across his face. Executives, sensing an unusual shift in the office atmosphere, approached him. "Assistant Pei, are we still having a meeting?" one asked. Another ventured, "Assistant Pei, did the president negotiate a big order? Why is he smiling like this ... well, as if he was both valuable and worthless?" An older employee chimed in, "The last time we saw the president smile so charmingly was... well, the last time."

Pei Qianhuo, though unable to pinpoint the exact cause, knew instinctively it had something to do with Shi Ning. He gazed out the French window, a knowing glint in his eye. "It's okay," he announced to the bewildered executives. "Spring is here, and the president asked all employees to get off work early toady."

The executives exchanged confused glances, looking out at the summer sky. "How did summer regress to spring?" one muttered, their faces etched with existential doubt.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Shi Ning approached her father's ward. Just as she was about to push open the door, she heard Shi Guoqiang's voice from within, a mix of urgency and vanity.

"Have you shaved my beared properly ? Please comb my hair  more neatly."

"Are my  lips too white? How about putting on some lipstick to gain some vitality ?"

Butler Zhao's chuckle was audible. "Master, the young lady is coming to see you, why do you dress so energetically? You should showcase your  sickness so the young lady may feel distressed and sensible, and then listen to you before doing anything reckless ."

Shi Guoqiang, meticulously adjusting his appearance and checking his reflection, declared, "You can use this trick if you are not sick. If you are really uncomfortable, you don't want her to know, so as not to worry her." He waved a dismissive hand at Butler Zhao, silencing any further protest.

Shi Ning, having waited just long enough to confirm they weren't discussing any serious illness, pushed open the door.

Shi Guoqiang's eyes, upon seeing his daughter for the first time in three years, lit up with an undeniable joy. But almost as quickly, his face hardened into a familiar scowl. "Why are you here?" he grumbled.

Shi Ning's initial impulse to call him "Dad" vanished. His curt tone and sour expression instantly reminded her of the past. In her memory, Shi Guoqiang was far from a good father. Three years ago, he had callously "sold" her to the Qin family for 300 million yuan to salvage his company's failing finances, arranging a marriage regardless of her feelings. It felt like nothing short of selling his own daughter. What a scoundrel!

Seeing her sour face and lack of greeting, Shi Guoqiang's mood soured further. "Why, did you come to see if I'm dead or not? So you can  divorce Qin Heye as soon as possible?" Without waiting for her reply, he continued, his voice sharp, "Then you have to wait, your father has a long life, and can live another 20 years! You want to divorce Qin Heye? Wait another 20 years for it !"

Shi Ning, known for her fiery temper and tendency to rebel against Shi Guoqiang, felt her anger flare. With a defiant look, she calmly stated, "Qin Heye signed the divorce agreement yesterday."

Shi Guoqiang was momentarily stunned, then retorted coldly, "You can divorce Qin Heye, but you can't leave the house empty-handed. You must at least get 1 billion! Otherwise, you are a member of the Qin family in life and the ghost  of the Qin family after death!"

Just as Shi Ning's anger reached its boiling point and she was about to unleash a tirade against her "scumbag father," a stream of golden comments flashed before her eyes.

[Shi Guoqiang is a good father. He raised such a vicious female partner like Shi Ning. What an unfilial daughter!]

[Her father was sick, but she didn't even come to see him. As soon as she came, she made him have a stroke. It's really better to raise a barbecued pork bun than to raise Shi Ning.]

[It's still Yinyin baby who has positive energy. Although she is Shi Guoqiang's niece, she has been taking care of him, accompanying him to recover, and taking care of him after he was paralyzed by a stroke.]

[He was almost recovered, but he heard that Shi Ning went to the sea to sit on the stage, and was angered to death by Shi Ning!]

[However, good people are rewarded. Shi Guoqiang gave all the property of the Shi family to baby Yinyin, and helped her become the richest woman, standing shoulder to shoulder with the male lead, and they are the two strong male and female leads!]

[Read More Here] Some of the comments, however, expressed confusion.

[It's so strange, didn't Shi Qingyin want to help Shi Ning get a divorce? Why did Shi Guoqiang tell Shi Ning that the divorce was to divide the 1 billion property.]

[She e didn't let Shi Guoqiang tell Shi Ning that it was her idea, didn't the original plot have it? It feels a bit bad, trying to sow discord between the father and daughter, right?]

[What does our baby Yinyin have to do with it again? The vicious female supporting role still has fans? It's obviously Shi Ning who is vicious. It's better to give birth to a barbecued pork bun than her!]

[Doesn't Shi Ning want to see Shi Guoqiang? Shi Qingyin never told Shi Ning that her father was sick!]

[It was also Shi Qingyin who deliberately told Shi Guoqiang the news that Shi Ning went to northern Myanmar and was forced to receive customers!]

[Shi Guoqiang was not mad at Shi Ning at all, but he died of excessive grief after hearing the news that Shi Ning's heart and liver were dug out, cut into pieces, and no bones were left!]

[And Shi Guoqiang's will has always been 51% to Shi Ning and 10% to Shi Qingyin, not all of it!]

The barrage devolved into a full-blown argument. Shi Ning narrowed her eyes. What in the world? Shi Qingyin had given her father the idea, but told him not to reveal it was her suggestion?

She realized the insidious plot. Because her father had brought up the 1 billion, Shi Ning had believed he was utterly obsessed with money, a man who would sell his own daughter for financial gain. This had fueled her hatred, her defiance, and the ever-growing rift between them. In the end, both she and her father would die, leaving Shi Qingyin to inherit the Shi family's wealth and live happily ever after with the male protagonist.

What a preposterous plot! Shi Ning clenched her fists, then turned her gaze to Shi Guoqiang. "Shi Qingyin gave you the idea to say that?"

Shi Guoqiang, caught off guard, blurted out, "You know?"

Shi Ning pressed a hand to her forehead, a faint smile playing on her lips as she looked up at him. "Dad, can you tell me what Shi Qingyin said to you ?"

The two simple words, "Dad," had an immediate and profound effect on Shi Guoqiang. He visibly reeled, his eyes welling up with tears. He was so overwhelmed with emotion that he stammered, "You... what did you call me just now?" He looked at her eagerly, his voice thick with hope, "Can you... call me again?"

Shi Ning's smile faltered, her voice mechanical and devoid of emotion as she tried to repeat, "Dad, you..."

Before she could finish, a peculiar sound filled the room. A grown man, all 1.8 meters of Shi Guoqiang, let out a heart-wrenching "Woo wow" and collapsed onto Butler Zhao's shoulder, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Old Zhao, Aning... Aning... finally called me  Dad, woo wow... she finally called me Dad... woo wow."

Shi Ning stared, dumbfounded. Her "scumbag father," reduced to a blubbering mess. It was, she had to admit, a little embarrassing.
