"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"
Chapter 11
"Yes, the eldest lady finally called you dad," Lao Zhao confirmed, his own eyes glistening with tears of relief.
Shi Guoqiang, still wiping away tears, murmured, "It seems like I'm dreaming, Aning... called me daddy. If it's a dream, Lao Zhao, don't wake me up."
Shi Ning watched the two grown men, usually so serious and formidable, dissolve into tears over something as simple as her calling him "Dad." It made her feel like a newborn, uttering her first word, or worse, like a twenty-one-year-old with a developmental delay who had finally managed the feat.
She wanted to tell them to calm down, to stop crying. But then she remembered. She hadn't been home in three years, not a single call or message. And how long had it been since she had last called him "Dad"? Six or seven years, at least.

A wave of self-reflection washed over Shi Ning. Perhaps she hadn't been such a great daughter. With a sigh, she patiently sat down beside her father, poured a cup of warm water, and began peeling an apple, waiting in silence.
This sudden quiet, however, seemed to unsettle Shi Guoqiang. He pushed Lao Zhao away, looking anxiously at Shi Ning. "Aning, what did you just say?" he asked, his voice still shaky.
Shi Ning saw the lingering tears in his old eyes and recalled the ominous barrages—how he would eventually die of grief from her tragic demise. Her heart softened. The fractured parent-child relationship of the past decade, she realized, must have been deliberately provoked and destroyed by "someone " with ulterior motive..
She handed him the cup of water, offering a sweet, well-behaved smile. "Dad," she began, the word feeling surprisingly natural now, "can you tell me what else Shi Qingyin said to you?"
The two words, "Dad," once again threatened to send Shi Guoqiang into another fit of tears.
Shi Ning glared at him. "If you get excited again, I won't say it ever again!"
Shi Guoqiang's eyes widened. He gulped, forcing back the tears. "More than half an hour ago, Yinyin called me." He then recounted everything Shi Qingyin had told him, speaking with such meticulous detail that it seemed he wanted to articulate every single punctuation mark.
Shi Ning held her forehead, a dawning realization filling her. "Did she tell you that?" More than half an hour ago... that was around the time she'd kicked Shi Qingyin out of her car.
Shi Guoqiang, clutching the cup of water Shi Ning had poured, nodded. Perhaps because she had called him "dad," he felt a newfound openness. "If you're not happy with your marriage to Qin Heye, then divorce if you want," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "If you want a quick divorce, you can leave the house with nothing. Come back, dad can support you. Dad will support you for the rest of your life. You just need to be happy."
After so many years, the seemingly irreparable father-daughter relationship finally cracked, like a fragile ice breaking. Shi Guoqiang genuinely seemed to have come to terms with it; he no longer wanted to force Shi Ning into anything. All that mattered to him was her happiness, her willingness to return home, and her willingness to call him "dad" again. Nothing else mattered.
Shi Ning was taken aback. For three years, her "scumbag dad" had adamantly refused to consider a divorce. Now, simply because she had called him "dad," he had agreed. She almost laughed. "Dad really agrees that Qin Heye and I will divorce?"
"Really!" Shi Guoqiang looked at her, his expression earnest. "It's been three years, and you haven't fallen in love with Qin Heye. It must be because he treats you badly, so let's get a divorce. After the divorce, find someone you like and marry." He then thought of Shen Xizhou, a frown creasing his brow as he cautiously asked, "For example, with Shen Xizhou?"
Suddenly, the golden barrages returned, startlingly vivid.
[The vicious female supporting role is courting death and snatching the male lead again!]
[The big villain is listening outside the door, so my chain is on display, my female supporting villain is doing all kinds of hate crime , and I have meat to eat again for today! Hee hee, goosebumps.]
Shi Ning's body stiffened. She instinctively sat up straighter, her gaze darting towards the ward door. What? Qin Heye is eavesdropping again?[Read More Here]
[Big yellow girl, don't just think about sex, think about why the plot is wrong first.]
[I remember that Shi Guoqiang was hospitalized because he heard that Shi Ning was raped by Qin Heye in marriage, ran to Qin's house to question Qin Heye, got angry, felt dizzy, and fell down the stairs.]
[Then Shi Ning thought that Qin Heye pushed her father down, and hated him even more, and wanted to kill him!]
[Shi Qingyin was downstairs and saw it clearly, but she didn't help Qin Heye explain. Instead, she told Shi Ning ambiguously that she saw them arguing, and then fell down, which led to the misunderstanding.]
Shi Ning frowned. Shi Qingyin again? How could this kind of person be the heroine?
[The big villain outside the door, his heart was broken into lotus petals.]
[The villain came to pick up Shi Ning with joy, but he heard that his father-in-law, who supported him over the years , agreed to let Shi Ning divorce him and marry Shen Xizhou for the second time. He was so broken and felt abandoned by the whole world.]
[It's okay, don't feel sorry for the villain. His heart is broken, but his mouth is still very hard. He will forcefully kiss Shi Ning again . It's scary!]
[Shy, is it just his mouth that is very hard? Is it only his mouth that will forcefully kiss? With the villain's personality, I don't believe it will end just with a kiss!]
