"A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens"

                                    Chapter 15

Shi Ning froze, her cheeks now  burning red as the comments on her internal "barrage" system exploded.

[Ahhh! Where did she hit? Why is the villain's face so red!]

[Hehe! I just sent a small gift to the author, and I saw it. It's really spectacular.]

[Frog eyes, let me see, ouch! Shi Ning's fight was great.[Read More Here] She even beat Qin Heye...]

Panicked by the barrage, Shi Ning quickly pulled her hands away from Qin Heye, raising them in a gesture of surrender. "My ankle is sprained," she blurted out, "It hurts!"

The comments, however, were unmerciful.

[Is the vicious female supporting role so cute? She actually raised her little hands to surrender?]

[She surrendered very quickly, otherwise she would have been locked up in the attic. Isn't that embarrassing??]

Shi Ning squeezed her eyes shut, wishing she could silence the relentless stream of commentary.

Qin Heye, having heard her explanation, calmly put away his phone. "Hmmm," he responded indifferently.

Shi Ning braced herself, planning to hop out of the elevator on one leg, enduring the pain. But the next second, she was airborne. Qin Heye had scooped her up effortlessly. The sudden feeling of weightlessness made her instinctively wrap her arms around his neck. He carried her out of the elevator, past the gawking crowd who parted like the Red Sea, their eyes trailing them with avid curiosity.

Shi Ning buried her face in Qin Heye's chest, her blush deepening. "You... put me down," she mumbled into his shirt.

Qin Heye hummed, a noncommittal sound, and his grip loosened, just for a moment.

"Ah!" Shi Ning gasped as her body unexpectedly dropped. In sheer panic, she tightened her embrace around his neck.

He pulled her back up, a low, sexy groan rumbling from his throat. "Oh~"

That sound. It was terrifyingly familiar. It echoed the very noises Qin Heye had made last night – a primal, uninhibited sound of intense emotion. It spooked Shi Ning so much that she immediately loosened her grip.

But the moment she did, she began to slide down from  his body again. Desperate, she had no choice but to cling to him even tighter.

Qin Heye stopped, lowering his head to gaze at her with eyes that seemed to pierce her very soul. "Did you do this on purpose?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous.

"I..." Shi Ning stammered.

His eyes darkened further. "Be good, you can't do this outside. Let's go see a doctor first."

"Qin..." she began, trying to protest.

"If you really want to," he cut her off, his voice a husky suggestion, "let's go to the vip ward."

The barrage went wild.

[The villain couldn't help but  being teased by Shi Ning!]

[The sun is out, it's time to open the umbrella!]

[It's a pity that this is not a flower market, otherwise an hour-long plot could have happened in the elevator just now.]

[The villain is so dark, he deliberately didn't hold Shi Ning firmly so that she could hold him tightly, and he was the first to complain.]

[Hurry up and go to the top ward, it's not too late now for my ward play, i can't wait.]

Shi Ning stared at the comments in horror. This was not what she signed up for!

"Yes! see a doctor!" she practically shrieked.

Qin Heye, seemingly unfazed by her outburst, carried her to the doctor. After a brief examination, the doctor prescribed some medicine and gave a few common-sense instructions: "You've sprained your ankle.[Read More Here] Rest more these days, and don't walk too much." Then, with an innocent expression, he added, "Also, if you haven’t exercised for a long time, don’t do strenuous exercise, especially squats…"

The doctor's words were perfectly ordinary, but Shi Ning's face flamed crimson. She shot a furious glare at Qin Heye.

He, however, listened intently. Catching her gaze, he responded to the doctor with utter seriousness. "Well, I’ll let her do less squats in the future." A sly glint entered his eyes, though the doctor seemed to miss it. He'll  just do more push-ups, Qin Heye mused silently n his own heart.

Shi Ning groaned inwardly. She didn't even need to look; she knew the barrage was going crazy again.

After getting the medicine, Qin Heye lifted Shi Ning into his arms once more and carried her out of the hospital.

Just as they were leaving, Shi Qingyin arrived at the hospital gates. Her eyes narrowed as she watched Qin Heye gently place Shi Ning into the car. "How could Shi Ning allow Qin Heye to hug her in public?" she muttered, a dark frown creasing her brow. This simply wouldn't do! She had to tell Shen Xizhou.

But there was no time now. Her Uncle, Shi Guoqiang, had called her, demanding she come to the hospital with a seriousness she'd never heard from him before, saying he had something to ask her. The unusual tone left Shi Qingyin with a growing sense of unease.
